My personal definition:
Poaching (noun): Origin: Poach (verb): The act of shooting a fellow hunter's quarry just before them. Legal game, of course. A friendly and sporting thumbing of the nose.

This will be my chosen fashion by which to document my time spent in the field. Hunting is my catharsis and my greatest love. It is something I feel the need to spread and share in. The feeling of a cold day, wrung dry for experience, offers a satisfaction that can live in your memory for a lifetime. Hunting welcomes story, drink, and elbows to the ribs from an irreverent and dear few. Now come, come and join the ranks as fellow Poachers.

I’ve been shooting my 1954 Abercrombie and Fitch Beretta 20 bore for about a decade now. Same model he had. Thousands of rounds through it, now. The firing pin on the bottom barrel is a little worn down these days. Oh a cold day, sometimes it just goes click.
